The character
Dark Magician Girl debuted in the manga as the spiritual student/apprentice of Yugi's Dark Magician. In the lore, she's the spirit of Mana — Atem's other childhood friend in Ancient Egypt, who became a magician's apprentice. She also fused her soul into a card.
